A Stupendous Strawberry Napoleon

Ready For This Strawberry Napoleon Recipe?

I love almost any strawberry you can throw at me, but Strawberry Napoleon is definitely my favorite strawberry dish of all time. However, not all Strawberry Napoleon recipes are created equal. If you want a strawberry dish that beats all others, here's the one you've been waiting for.

What You'll Need

We all know that Strawberry Napoleon requires strawberries, but you need a lot more than that. Here's your ingredients list. You'll need to go get what you don't have on hand.

4 cups of thinly-sliced strawberries
8 pieces refrigerated phyllo dough (not frozen)
3/4 cup light whipped topping
1/2 cup light sour cream
3 oz of softened neufchatel cheese
6 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons grated orange zest
Cooking spray

Creating a Great Napoleon

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then place one sheet of your phyllo dough into a sheet pan and coat it with cooking spray. Sprinkle the dough with 1 teaspoon of sugar. Place another piece of the dough on top of the first and repeat the process with the remaining dough. Then cut the stack of dough lengthwise into three pieces. Poke the pieces with a fork and bake for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes has passed take the dough out of the oven and let it cool completely. Then put the cheese in a mixture and beat it until it becomes fluffy. Add the remaining sugar to the cheese along with the sour cream and zest. Continue to beat the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy. Then fold in the whipped topping.

Place one strip of the phyllo dough on a serving dish and spread half of the cheese mixture on it and half the strawberries. Put the second strip of phyllo dough over the cheese/strawberry layer and repeat the process. Then place the last piece of phyllo dough on top. Slice the Strawberry Napoleon into 12 portions and serve your guests the best strawberry dish they ever had.
