We all deserve that pride and enjoyment once in a while. With that being said, here's another blackberry recipe that's sure to impress your friends, neighbors and family.
It's All About the Mountain
Blackberry jam, blackberry muffins, blackberry ice cream - they're all good. But nothing quite compares to this blackberry mountain. First, you need to gather your ingredients. Here's your list:
2 1/2 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
3/4 cup milk
1 stick unsalted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
Making Pie
First thing you need to do is turn on the oven. You're gonna want to pre-heat it to 350 degrees. Then you're gonna want to put the stick of butter in a 3 quart Pyrex baking dish, then put it in the oven while it's pre-heating.
Get a big mixing bowl out and mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and milk. Add this to the Pyrex baking dish and mix well with the butter. Then slowly stir the blackberries into this mixture until everything is well mixed. Now bake this mixture for about 45 to 55 minutes, until the top begins to brown.
Take the mountain out of the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Serve it with whipped cream or cool whip and you're good to go. Refrigerate any leftovers and serve them warmed the next day.
