Easy Ways to Make Your Home Smell Like Berries

How to Surround Yourself With the Aroma of Berries

As all berry lovers know, you're home isn't at its best unless it's filled with the scent of berries. Unfortunately, for most of us, baking berries around the clock just isn't an option. How do you get your home to smell like berries 24 hours a day without actually having pies, tarts and turnovers in the oven? I have the answers...

Bath and Body Wallflowers

Isn't a wallflower someone who hides in the corner at a dance? Not anymore! That girlie Bath and Bodyworks store actually has some really great items that are scented like berries -- including items to make your house smell great.

I personally use the Bath and Body Works Wallflower that smells like berry cobbler. They work kind of like those Glade Plug Ins (but smell 10 times better). If you've never tried them, you don't know what you're missing.

Berry Scented Candles

Candles are great for filling your home with the aroma of berries. I personally prefer Yankee Candles brand. They smell as close to the real thing as a candle is going to get.

Carpet Powder

Carpet powder is another great way to get your home to smell like berries. Of course, carpet powder can't really make your home smell like there's something in the oven, but it does give off a berry scent. If you can't use the wallflowers or candles for some reason, carpet powder is an alternative.

Parrot Owners Beware

A word of warning for bird owners -- if you have pet birds do not use any aroma-enhancing products in your home until you're positively sure they are bird safe. I've read in many heart-breaking articles about birds who have died due to inhaling scented products that are bad for them.

That Being Said...

Now, we all know that nothing beats the real thing when it comes to making your home smell like baking berries. These products, however, are great alternatives to running berries in the oven 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you want to surround yourself with the aroma of berries, give 'em a try.
