Grandma's Old-Fashioned Strawberry Cobbler Recipe
How To Good Old-Fashioned Strawberry Cobbler
So you've tried peach cobbler, blueberry cobbler and probably a few helpings of cherry cobbler, but have you ever tried delicious old-fashioned strawberry cobbler? If you've never loaded your dessert plate with strawberry cobbler, you have no idea what you're missing. Here's one of my favorite recipes.
What You'll Need
To make this delicious strawberry cobbler, the first thing you're going to need to do is gather your ingredients. This is a list of the items you're going to need:
1 quart of fresh strawberries
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Getting Started
Once you have all of your ingredients in order, pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees. Then put the butter in an 8x12 baking dish and put it in the oven for about 4 minutes so the butter melts. After the butter has melted, remove the baking dish from the oven and add the milk, flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon and stir the ingredients until they have all been mixed together.
Now it's time for the strawberries. Make sure the strawberries are hulled and place them with the tips pointed up on top of the other ingredients. Put the dish in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. Then remove the strawberry cobbler from the oven.
Serve It Up
This strawberry cobbler recipe will make about 4 good size servings. It's great served warm, so if you need to refrigerate any of it, pop it in the microwave to reheat it when you're ready. While strawberry cobbler may not be as popular as some of the other cobblers out there, it is most definitely one of the most delicious cobblers to be had.
