Should I Make or Buy a Greenhouse?
5 things to consider before you buy a greenhouse
Before you buy a greenhouse, there are some things that you need to consider. For some people, it is best to build a greenhouse while others prefer to buy a greenhouse that is ready-made or easy to assemble. Greenhouse kits are sometimes a good option for people looking to buy a greenhouse.
Berry Jerry’s suggestions to think about before you buy a greenhouse…
The main considerations when you buy a greenhouse are:
1. Size
2. Price
3. Quality
4. Ease of assembly
5. Warranty
…not necessarily in that order. Of course, when you buy a greenhouse, you want to make sure that it is large enough to accommodate your present and future needs. The price is of some importance when you buy a greenhouse, of course, it needs to be affordable without compromising quality.
To me, quality is the most important factor when I buy a greenhouse because I use my greenhouses year round and if I’m going to invest the money to buy a greenhouse, I want to make sure it is durable and will last me a long time.
If you are not mechanically inclined, the ease of assembly may be very important when you buy a greenhouse. On the other hand, if you are skilled in construction, you may be better off to build your own rather than buying a greenhouse or a greenhouse kit.
Next to quality, I think the warranty is the second most important factor when you buy a greenhouse. In my opinion, a greenhouse manufacturer that is willing to warranty their product has confidence that the greenhouse is of high quality and will weather the storms it may face over the long-run.
