The Best Strawberry Jam On This Side of Heaven

How To Make the Most Delicious Strawberry Jam You've Ever Tasted

Wonder what strawberry jam would taste like in heaven? I think I have a recipe for a jam that comes quite close. If you want to make the best strawberry jam your friends and family -- heck, your entire town -- has ever tasted, then this is what you've been looking for.

Falling In Love With Strawberry Jam

Okay, technically I'm cheating. Technically this isn't a strawberry jam. It's more of a strawberry-banana jam. But regardless of what you call it, one thing is certain. This is the best strawberry jam you'll ever taste.

To get started, you'll need to gather the following ingredients:

3 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
3 sliced bananas
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3 1/4 cups of sugar
1/3 cup of pectin

Creating a Strawberry Jam Masterpiece

Once you gather your ingredients, you need to put the strawberries, the bananas and the lemon juice in a microwavable bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and poke some holes in the plastic wrap with a toothpick. Then microwave the bowl on high for 15 minutes.

Now you need to remove the plastic wrap and add the sugar to the bowl. Leave the bowl uncovered and microwave it for another 3 minutes. Then stir the mixture and microwave it for another 3 minutes. Repeat this process in 3 minute increments until you have microwaved it for a total of 15 minutes more. If at that time, the strawberry jam still isn't thick enough, microwave it for another 3 minutes, stirring again, until the jam has thickened.

Once the strawberry jam has reached its desired consistency, put it in canning jars and store it in the fridge till you're ready to use it. Of course, you can share a jar or two with family and friends if you're feeling generous.
