Who's Ready for Blackberry Flan?

Blackberry Flan Like Momma Used to Make

Want to try blackberry flan like my momma used to make? Then you definitely want to test out this amazing blackberry flan recipe. In all honesty, I'm usually not a big flan eater, but this blackberry flan really gets my taste buds going and if you love blackberries as much as I do, it will do the same for you.

Let's Make Some Blackberry Flan

Of course, step one is gathering your ingredients. This blackberry flan is rather simple to make so not too many ingredients are necessary.

Here's what you're going to need:

3 cups of fresh blackberries
1 cup of milk
3 eggs
1/2 cup of flour
1/3 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla
Pinch of salt

Getting Started

To make your blackberry flan, you first need to combine your milk, eggs, vanilla, salt, flour and a quarter of a cup of the sugar in a blender and mix it on high for one minute. Then pour a thin layer of the mix (not all of it) into a buttered flan dish (a deep pie dish will work if you don't have a flan dish for your blackberry flan). Cook the mixture over a moderate heat until the flan has set.

After the flan mixture has set, remove it from the heat and spread your blackberries over it. Next, sprinkle the rest of the sugar over the blackberries. Then pour the remaining mixture that you didn't pour into the pan over the berries. Bake the blueberry flan in the oven at 350 degrees for 55 minutes (or until browned).

Serve the flan warm and if you have any leftovers, make sure you refrigerate them immediately. The remaining blackberry flan should keep in the fridge for about a five days.
