Blueberries are undoubtedly one of the most delicious and versatile fruits. Blueberries are also very good for you and are incredibly valuable as a health food because they are powerful antioxidants.

Blueberries are just lip-smacking good, so it is really great that blueberries are also healthy. They are one of my favorite snacks and I love the many different things that you can do with blueberries. Ten of my favorite ideas for blueberries are:
1. Fresh snacks
Blueberries are great in dishes, but I really love to eat blueberries fresh right off the bush.
2. Blueberry pie
Blueberries make wonderful pies and blueberry pie is one of the wonderful dessert options that many people overlook. On holidays, people bake many pies, but rarely blueberry, so blueberry pie is a pretty good gift idea to give to your hostess at a holiday party.
3. Blueberry cobbler
Cobblers made from blueberries are more common than blueberry pie. For some reason, blueberries just seem ideal for baking cobblers.
4. Blueberry smoothies
The Mrs. and I love to put blueberries in the blender with ice, a little milk or cream and a touch of sugar. Sometimes we toss in a banana for texture. Smoothies made from blueberries are great for breakfast, brunch, or for a mid-day snack.
5. Fruit salad
Most fruit salad recipes call for things like apples, bananas, raisins, coconut, mandarin oranges and so forth. Adding blueberries to any fruit salad makes a pretty unique dish.
6. Blueberry sauce
Substituting blueberries for cherries in recipes with cherry sauce shakes things up a bit and makes old recipes new and exciting as well as incredibly healthy.
7. Blueberry ice cream
When you make home-made vanilla ice cream, you can add some blended blueberries to the mixture before freezing it for a nice treat.
8. Blueberry ice cubes
Blueberry ice cubes are mixed with 7-Up or ginger ale to be served as a punch. To make the ice cubes, liquefy the blueberries in a blender with some sugar and a little lemon juice and pour the mixture into ice trays.
9. Blueberry sorbet
To make a blueberry sorbet, you can blend blueberries, sugar and water in a blender until it has a thick texture. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze it. Then, scoop the mixture using an ice cream scoop. This is a nice, refreshing summertime treat.
10. Blueberry cheesecake
Of course, blueberries can be used to make pie filling which is great for topping cheesecake. Fresh blueberries also make wonderful cheesecake topping.
